[Chapter V] Preview Chrysalia

The continent has five new zones but only the Ancient Kingdom of Roazan is already available. The next zone is called Chrysalia (Its internal WIP_name is Queslana, so if you find Queslana mentioned in our older news, its the second zone in Chapter V aka Chrysalia). We also will find the next instance in this zone, the Kulech Bones Nest (formerly known as Qrich or Qrich Cadaver Den, its WIP_name we used before an official name was available) for 6 or 12 players. Unfortunately we could only find a taiwanese map of Chrysalia:

Zonemap Chrysalia
Zonemap Chrysalia

The instance Kulech Bones Nest is located in the south east and on the zone map it looks a bit like the Aeternal Circle on the Ancient Kingdom of Rorazan map .

We have published a map of the instance in one of our older news.

We don't know much about the mobs in the new zone, but we will see some Myrmekes for sure. Much more information can be extracted from the quests:

  • 325 new quests, thereof

    • 113 normal quests
    • 28 quests from the series "Clash of Good and Evil"
    • 7 quests within the new ini
    • 84 different dailies, each brings 296553 EXP
    • 93 public quests, which bring up to 430 Public Event Points

All in all you can get 181,474,668 EXP, if you finish every quest including dailies at least one time. The quest are designed for level 72 to 75, but that does not mean necessarily that the next level cap will be level 75.

Because of some missing details we couldn't find out  whether "Clash of Good and Evil" ist the successor questline to "Surging Undercurrent".

Please keep in mind, that the final version of Chrysalia may differ from the current state of data.

Answering the obvious question beforehand, we do not know when the new zone is going to be released, but we can make an educated guess using publicly available information:

Mandy Blumenthal told us in a recent interview that Frogster/Gameforge is planning for a 3-monthly release cycle of new content, so if they can keep their schedule we may be looking at the zone Mid/End-September.

Give or take a few weeks as always, of course.

So let's look forward to the next zone of Runes of Magic.
